Boat and marine fabrication is the original foundation on which Firefish Fabrication was built on and will always be an integral part of what we do. Steve’s experience in this industry alone spans over 20 years – initially working on the parts for brand new Rayglass and Seacraft pleasure craft in a family-owned East Auckland factory, followed by working on superyacht builds and numerous refits and repairs from Auckland’s Westhaven Marina. Plus many of his friends and family’s boats along the way.

When it comes to stainless fabrication for boats, 316 marine-grade stainless steel is our material of choice. Even for the smallest parts we create, attention to detail is a must and outputting a hard-wearing and bloody good-looking creation is what we aim for on each and every project. We believe that 316 marine-grade stainless gives us that finish every time. We understand that boaties not only need something that looks great, but that’s also strong, long-lasting and can withstand the harshest of marine-environment elements.
While we are located just a 5-minute drive from Gulf Harbour Marina, we also regularly service the other marinas in the Auckland region including Orakei, Beachhaven and Westhaven Marina for all manners of fabrication, repair and maintenance. We are also able to offer mobile mig welding across Auckland and its surrounding areas.
